Deloitte Central Europe is a dynamic region where standards seem to constantly redefine themselves.  The region comprises of 17 countries - Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Macedonia and Albania.

Our Financial Advisory practice operating in Central Europe consists of three service lines: Corporate Finance, Valuation&Modeling and M&A Transaction Services.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Transaction Services that surround the transaction cycle is a principal FA service line that has become a strategic growth area with enormous opportunity in Central Europe.  To enable us to pursue these opportunities, we are in the process of expanding our Polish M&A Transaction Services team and seeking professionals on the position of Senior Associate, who will be placed in Warsaw.

The candidate will have:

• the likelihood of working on some high profile transactions for strategic investors and private equity funds;
• the opportunity of rapid advancement in a high growth, high profit service line;

Responsibility

The candidate will be responsible for:

• Independently executing financial due diligence assignments
• Effective project delivery
• Contributing to business development and sales process  
• Supervising work of junior colleagues

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with strong accounting / financial analysis background and experience in due diligence projects who will be able to advise clients on:

• Understanding the Target business and its drivers;
• Key risks in the Target;
• Management controls;
• Quality of recurring cash flows;
• Quality of assets;
• Liabilities that can break deals;
• Quality and reliability of projections;
• Issues likely to affect the Sale & Purchase agreement.

 Experience and qualification:

• Professional Certification - Chartered Accountant, ACCA (or reasonably close to finishing) 
• 3 - 4 years of professional experience in Financial Advisory / Audit (preferably B4 experience)
• Excellent report writing skills including advanced use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint packages;
• Fluent in Polish and English (verbal and written);

Remuneration and level will be commensurate with candidate's experience.
